Temporary Power Restoration Devices Autotransformers restore missing hot leg (or neutral) in either 120/240V or 120/208V 3-wire services.
Recommended service 100A (only one Auto Transformer) or 200A(requires two Auto Transformers) .
The non-metallic enclosures do not require grounding to a driven spear or residence ground for personal safety.
TRIDENT Flex Carry In (does not require grounding) can restore a lost Phase or Neutral in households with up to 200 Amp service by means of one or two identical 10KVA autotransformers, each weighing 45 lbs. and a control unit integrated with a plug-in meter adapter (9lbs).
Each autotransformer is controlled by an individual circuit breaker enabling two output power selections.
For 200A service use two auto transformers. For 100A service use one AT. Individual components can be bought separatly to mix and match electrical sevices.
The transformers feature a carrying handle and means for holding the cable and plug in place when not in use. They fit easily on a light truck or in a car trunk and are carried in to be placed on the ground below the residence meter pan.
The toroidal autotransformers are encapsulated in a cup shaped enclosure molded from high-strength flame rated ABS polymer. The same resin is used in the control unit enclosure rendering all surfaces non-conducting.
The non-metallic enclosures do not require grounding to a driven spear or residence ground for personal safety.

There are two versions of the Trident PowerBack:
• Version A with integrated meter adapter
• Version B (no meter adapter required) with stranded leads for direct connection through the electrical panel.
Version A with integrated meter adapter installation is the most common for installing the temporary power restoration tools and is the same used to install our wheeled PowerBack models where the customer’s meter is removed, the Trident’s meter adapter is properly installed in the meter pan and the customer’s meter is installed in the adapter.

Version B (no meter adapter required) with stranded leads for direct connection through the knock-out of the electrical panel.
Advantages:
Can be used for any electical panels requiring long or short blades or lever by-pass types.
One person installation. By not using a meter adapter, makes it easy for the installer to connect the Control Box cable directly to the panel’s customer Neutral and the two Hot legs.
It involves using a 1.5″ knock-out to pass through and secure the Control Unit’s cable and then connect the customer’s ground lug, black hot wire and the red wire
